Thanks Sand Salt Moon – really pleased you like this. If I remember correctly the sky features cobalt blue and the yellow/orange is mainly raw sienna with a touch of winsor red. I loosely applied a wash of clean water, then dropped in the orange, then, while everything was still wet, the cobalt blue – all very thin/diluted mixes. Always a bit of a lottery but I love the potential and high stakes of the direct approach! Thanks again

I particularly enjoy how you handled the sky and the distance in this piece. The shadows on the ground are also nice to look at. What colors did you use for the sky?
