Our campsite is idyllically situated in a forest within a national park. This is wonderful for so many reasons, however access to wi-fi or indeed any form of signal isn’t one of them!
Consequently, this post(card) will be very brief and along the lines of ‘having a great time, weather beautiful, wish you were here!’
I’ll do a more fulsome resume of my sketching endeavours once I’m back in Blighty but, in the meantime, here’s one of my favourites to date:

Right, I’d best get back to my holiday before anyone notices that I’ve gone missing!

Looks like you’ve got some nice journaling going on there. Best souvenir ever.
I see umbrellas!
Camping? Did you drive to France through “The Tunnel?”
Hi Mary and thanks for this, I think this holiday was my best yet for sketching which I feel really pleased about. As you say, great souvenirs. We didn’t go via the tunnel this year but took the ferry, a pleasant four hour crossing from Newhaven to Dieppe. Wish I could go again tomorrow!
Lovely painting, John. Enjoy your holiday and paint more like that!
Hi Rob and thanks for this, I tried to continue to paint like this! I hope to reveal more in this week’s post if I manage to find the time to write it!
